Presentation

Abdominal pain and dyspepsia.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Increased wall thickening is seen at gastric cardia and lesser curvature accompanied by perigastric, celiac and para-aortic lymphadenopathies.

A few hypovascular masses are seen in the liver, showing delayed peripheral enhancement, the largest of which is in the right liver lobe and measures 23 mm across.

Case Discussion

Pathology proven gastric adenocarcinoma with regional and para-aortic lymphadenopathies and  hepatic metastasis.

CT is currently the staging modality of choice because it can help identify the primary tumor, assess for the local spread, and detect nodal involvement and distant metastases.
