Metastatic gastric cancer

Presentation

Weight loss, abdominal pain, and dyspepsia.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Increased wall thickness because of tumoral infiltration is present at gastric cardia and lesser curvature. Multiple regional and metastatic hypodense lymphadenopathies are seen at perigastric, peripancreatic, para-aortic, and aortocaval regions. Additionally, two low-enhancing masses are noted at the right liver lobe measuring about 50 mm and 15 mm.

Two calcified foci are seen at liver segment VIII consistent with healed granuloma. 

Case Discussion

Gastric mass; pathology proven case of adenocarcinoma with lymphadenopathies and hepatic metastasis. CT is currently the staging modality to identify the primary gastric tumor, assess for the local spread, and detect nodal involvement and distant metastases.
