Metastatic melanoma to heart and lungs

Multiple bilateral metastatic lung nodules are present. Interventricular septal mass with involvement of adjacent left ventricular apex also likely represents a metastasis.
Case Discussion
Like many cancers, melanoma frequently metastasizes to lung, but it also spreads hematogenously to subcutaneous tissues, to the bronchi causing atelectasis, and to the myocardium far more often than other malignancies.
