Metastatic mid esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Presentation

Dysphagia.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female

Increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is present at the mid esophagus measuring about 6cm in length. There is no sign of local invasion to adjacent structures, and the arc of the contact between the esophageal mass and the aorta is less than 90 degrees.

A few small lymph nodes are seen in the vicinity of the diseased segment.

An 18 mm nodule is present at the right lung base.

Linear calcification is present at the gallbladder wall inferring porcelain gallbladder.

Case Discussion

Pathology proved the case of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma with small regional lymph nodes and lung metastasis.
