Presentation
Work up for abdominopelvic pain, chronic constipation and recent rectal bleeding.
Patient Data

Marked asymmetrical increased wall thickness with areas of necrosis is present at the rectosigmoid colon, measured about 12 cm in length. Mesorectal fascia is infiltrated at the right anterior aspect. In addition, the mass infiltrates presacral soft tissue, but the fat plane between the mass and the posterior wall of the urinary bladder is preserved.
A few small regional enlarged lymph nodes are observed.
Several nodules are seen at the left lung less than 17 mm, inferring metastasis.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
Degenerative changes such as osteophytosis are seen in the lumbar spine.
Scoliosis with rightward convexity is present in the lumbar spine.
Case Discussion
Pathology proved rectosigmoid adenocarcinoma with regional enlarged lymph nodes and pulmonary metastases.
