The patient has complained of pain in the right foot after heavyweight falling on his foot at work. On examination; tenderness over the right 2nd metatarsal bone.

A fissure fracture is noted at the middle third of the right metatarsal bone, more clear on the oblique view.

Case Discussion
It is necessary when studying the x-ray, taking into account the patient’s clinical history, focussing on the area of pain, and making at least two images of the patient in two different positions.
