Oblique fractures through the diaphysis of the second, third and fourth metatarsals shaft with minimal displacement of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals are seen.
The remainder bones are unremarkable, with normal alignment and no signs of fractures.
Os cuboid also is noted.
Case Discussion
The recent patient case referred to us with the history of heavy objects falls over the dorsal aspect of the left foot. X-ray revealed the typical appearance of fractures involving the 2nd to 4th metatarsals shaft.
