Hypotelorism is present. The superomedial orbital margins are deviated superiorly producing a "quizzical" orbit appearance. The metopic suture is not clearly visible.
The coronal, lambdoid and sagittal sutures are normal.

CT demonstrates the fused metopic suture with midline frontal bony ridging. This produces a triangular head shape (trigonocephaly). Hypotelorism and hypoplastic frontal sinuses are also present. The anterior cranial fossa is narrow. 

Case Discussion

These appearances are characteristic of metopic suture synostosis. This patient has been treated conservatively.
