There is small well-defined right midbrain lesion demonstrating heterogeneous signal intensity on T2 and FLAIR images with a rim of T2 signal void, and blooming artifact on GRE images.
Case Discussion
This appearance of a central "popcorn" lesion with a rim of T2 signal void and susceptibility artifact is highly suggestive of a cavernoma, though the site is atypical.
