Presentation

Trauma history: contusion right index finger with metal box 2 weeks back, on examination: tenderness noted at the proximal IP joint right index finger, the right index finger active range of movement partially restricted due to pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

X-ray shows a non-displaced fracture at the base of the middle phalanx of the right index finger volar aspect.

Case Discussion

At the frontal view, the X-ray shows no clear fracture.

In trauma history, at least two different views should be taken.
