Painful and slightly swollen finger

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

A thin linear radio-opaque object is seen involving soft tissues of the middle phalanx on the 2nd finger. Bones and joint spaces of the hand appear normal.

Case Discussion

The patient had an accident while picking up a fish during a fishing trip resulting in a foreign body in the middle phalanx of the second finger.
