Case Discussion

Features of pathological fracture involving the middle phalanx of the 5th finger over an osteolytic intramedullary lesion. Commonly an enchondroma would be responsible for this appearance. Another less common possibility would be a simple bone cyst.

Phalangeal enchondroma and simple bone cysts are usually asymptomatic and can be present with pathological fractures.
