Migrated double J stent

Follow-up case of left-sided nephrolithiasis after PCNL. The present complaint is left flank pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

The upper end of the left double J stent is coiled and migrated into the proximal ipsilateral ureter with a resultant mild hydronephroureter. The lower end is seen in the lumen of the urinary bladder.

The right kidney and the rest of the viscera are unremarkable.

Case Discussion

CT features are of migrated double J stent which is an uncommon complication of the procedure with the presentation of pain on the involved side.
