Miliary cerebral tuberculosis


Intractable cough and low-grade fever

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

There are innumerable small sized intra axial pathological signal intensity lesions are seen scattered at both cerebral, cerebellar hemispheres and at the brain stem.

Largest lesions are seen at left thalamus and left occipital region.

They exhibits hypo intense signal at T1W, hyper intense signal at T2W, FLAIR and shows enhancement after iv Gad injection with peripheral ring enhancement .

Noted minimal edema at left occipital lesion.

No mass effect or midline shift.

Case Discussion

This case is laboratory established as miliary tuberculosis after chest X-ray that showing miliary nodules.
