Presentation

Cough and fevers.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
X-ray

Widespread small nodular opacities throughout both lungs.

CT

Innumerable round small pulmonary nodules throughout the lungs as well as some regions of peribronchial thickening and mucous impaction within the airways at the lung apices. 

Case Discussion

Patient proceeded to bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage with M. tuberculosis detected by PCR. This is the typical appearance of miliary TB.
