Complication during new VP shunt catheter placement.

Patient Data

Age: 48
Gender: Female

Normal subcutaneous placement of left VP shunt catheter along thoracic wall. The right VP shunt catheter migrated into right breast resulting in an iatrogenic breast implant rupture.

This case shows a kind of extracranial complication during implantation of ventriculoperitoneal shunt
