Gross resorption of bone and marginal sclerosis at the NOF fracture site with soft tissue material in the interspace. Note early avascular change in the femoral head characterized by generalized loss of bone density, subarticular sclerosis and bone irregularity but no collapse
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates the typical complications of neck of femur fracture if missed or not treated by surgical stabilization ie non-union and avascular necrosis of the femoral head.
