Presentation

Early pregnancy assessment for viability and dating. GA by LMP: 8w4d.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Single gestational sac is demonstrated containing two live embryos within a single amniotic sac, and a single adjacent yolk sac.

Concordant twin crown rump lengths, both generating an ultrasound GA of 9w0d, which corresponds to the menstrual dates given the +/-5 days accepted error rate.

There is a perigestational hemorrhage measuring 3.6 x 2.8 x 3.0 cm.

Single image of the uterus suggests variant uterine morphology. This cannot be assessed adequately on this study, however the patient was thought to have an arcuate or subseptate uterus on prior imaging.

Case Discussion

Typical appearance of a monochorionic monoamniotic gestation in early pregnancy.
