Presentation
Right thigh trauma about 18 days back. Complaining of swelling on the lateral aspect of proximal third of the thigh.

Morel-Lavallée lesion

There is an encapsulated collection in deeper part of the subcutaneous plane of proximal thigh on lateral aspect. It abuts the fascia. In its cranial part; lesion overlies the greater trochanter of the right femur. There are tiny echoes, few thin septa, and fat globules within the lesion. The lesion is partly compressible. There is a well-defined thin capsule around the lesion.
Underlying thigh muscles show normal echo pattern.
