Case Discussion

Morel-Lavallée lesion is a post-traumatic soft tissue degloving injury that usually forms over the lateral thigh. The injury occurs from direct or tangential shearing forces that separate the skin and overlying soft tissues from the underlying fascia. A potential space can be created which often fills with blood, lymph, debris, and/or fat.
