Presentation

Progressive swelling of the medial aspect of the distal right thigh. History of road traffic accident two weeks prior.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

There is a fusiform hypoechoic fluid collection with internal debris, located between the subcutaneous fatty tissue and the underlying fascia.

Case Discussion

The ultrasound appearance and the classic location between the subcutaneous tissue and underlying fascia are most consistent with a Morel-Lavallée lesion.
