Presentation

Dyspnea.

Patient Data

Age: 90 years
Gender: Female

x-ray

Rounded lucent areas are seen over the right paracardiac region in the right hemithorax.

Mild deviated trachea to right side at the thoracic inlet.

Anterior medial right diaphragmatic paracardiac defect transmitting collapsed bowel loops.

Left thyroid lobe nodule with coarse calcifications with mild retrosternal extension. It pushes the trachea to right side.

Multiple right pulmonary calcified nodules, notably on right middle lobe.

Splenic capsular calcifications are noted.

Morgagni hernia is a type of congenital diaphragmatic hernia that usually affects the anteromedial aspect of the diaphragm, commonly on the right side.
