Evalution for bony deformities

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Female

Platyspondyly with anterior central beaking of vertebral bodies along the spine.

Slight kyphotic change is noted in the thoracolumbar junction.

Small irregular carpal bones. 

Relatively squared iliac wings with flat acetabuli. 

Bilateral mild coxa valga is present. Genu valgus is seen. 

Bilateral upper femoral epiphysis are flattened.

Bilateral proximal tibial flaring. 

Case Discussion

The imaging features are likely to be representing mucopolysaccharidosis - type IV; Morquio syndrome.
