Extensive bilateral reticular and ring like opacities, some of which showing air-fluid levels within them. The cardiac and diaphragmatic borders are indistinct. Suspicion of tracheal widening.

Evidence of tracheobronchomegaly and tracheal diverticulum in upper mediastinum (*). Trachea measures 3.7 cm in diameter.

Multiple bronchiectasis and areas of pneumonic consolidation.

Features are most consistent with Mounier-Kuhn syndrome. 

Case Discussion

Patient with known Mounier-Kuhn syndrome: tracheobronchomegaly with tracheal diverticulum. This patient had lung transplantation later in their clinical course.
