There is a tubular enhancing mass, measuring 5 x 1 cm in its axial diameters, involving the inferior portion of the right parotid gland and extending along the course of the parotid duct.
There is no cervical adenopathy.

SPECIMEN: RIGHT PAROTIDECTOMY
Piece of salivary tissue weighing 13g measuring 50 x 30 x 15mm containing a 32mm tumor nodule.
HISTOLOGY:
Low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the parotid. Approximately 70% of the tumor is intracystic and 30% infiltrative.
