Multicystic dysplastic kidney

Left kidney is replaced by multiple non-communicating cystic structures and intervening echogenic tissue.
Normal right kidney.
Case Discussion
Features are of multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK). It is a non-heritable pediatric renal disease. It is said that surgical resection can be a better choice, as there is possibility of malignant transformation.
