Multicystic dysplastic kidney

Left kidney is almost completely replaced by multiple varying sized cysts, without visible renal parenchyma. The left kidney totally measures 5.8 cm in cranio-caudal dimension.
No normal contrast enhancement or excretion is seen.
Right kidney is normal.
Case Discussion
The features are consistent with left multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK). Bilateral MCDK are incompatible with life.
