Evidence of multiple variable sized cystic areas within the white matter and inner layers of the cerebral cortex predominantly in both frontal and right parietal lobes.
Basal ganglia and posterior fossa is spared.
Parenchymal atrophic changes present in the suptra tentorial level.
The imaging findings described above are consistent with extensive bilateral cystic encephalomalacia and brain parenchymal atrophy. This patient most likely had suffered from hypoxic/ischemic insult and the brain pattern resembles sequelae of hypoxic/ischemic ecephalopathy.
