Case contributed by Mohammad Taghi Niknejad
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Work up for hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

The hepatic attenuation value is less than the spleen's, suggesting fatty liver disease.

Mild to moderate hydronephrosis is present on the left side due to focal increased wall thickness at the proximal of the left ureter measuring 8 mm in diameter.

A 10 mm small enhancing polypoid mass is also noted at the anterior aspect of the left renal pelvis.

A 30×20 mm polypoid enhancing mass is evident at the anterior aspect of the urinary bladder, without local invasion to adjacent structures.

The uterus is not seen due to prior resection.

Case Discussion

Pathology-proven multifocal urinary bladder, left ureter and left renal pelvic urothelial cell carcinoma, the most common primary malignancy of the urinary tract, may be found along its entire length, from the renal pelvis to the bladder.
