Multiple biliary ducts stones

The gallbladder is not seen at anatomical location due to prior resection.
Intra & extrahepatic bile ducts are markedly dilated and CBD measured 20 mm in caliber. Multiple low signal filling defects are present within the intra & extra biliary ducts inferring stones.
Several cortical cysts are seen at kidneys. In addition, mild hydronephrosis is present at left side.
Case Discussion
Biliary ducts stones may form either in situ or pass from the gallbladder, and when recurrent tend to be pigment stones, and are thought to be associated with bacterial infection.
MRCP is superior to ERCP in depicting intra- and extrahepatic changes.
