Multiple bladder diverticula

Enlarged prostatic gland and multiple diverticula in the urinary bladder wall. Bladder mucosa herniates through weak areas in the wall.
Case Discussion
Congenital diverticulae are solitary and are most often discovered during childhood.
Acquired bladder diverticulae are the result obstruction of the bladder outlet or bladder dysfunction. They are often multiple and typically seen in older men.
