Multiple hepatic haemangiomata

Case contributed by Dr Zareena Ansari

Presentation

45 year old asymptomatic female came for a routine health check up. Abdominal ultrasound revealed multiple large heterogeneously hypoechoic mass lesions in both lobes. Largest lesion was over 6 cm in size. A differential diagnoses including hemangiomas, secondaries with occult primary and primary hepatocellular with metastases was given. No other positive finding in the abdomen. Nothing on Chest Xray or mammogram. She then underwent a contrast enhanced CT of the abdomen.
