No elbow joint effusion or fracture seen.
Innumerable relatively well-defined medullary lucencies are seen within the distal humeral shaft and proximal radius. There is endosteal scalloping without cortical destruction or periosteal reaction.
Case Discussion
The typical differential diagnosis for lytic bone lesions in this age group include metastases, myeloma and lymphoma. This case was proven to be multiple myeloma.
Take note that the presentation was trauma. Careful examination of the whole x-ray should be commonplace for the diagnostic radiologist.
