Multiple pelvic granulomas

Presentation

Chronic deep pelvic pain and previous history of augmentation procedure.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
mri

Multiple variable-sized deep gluteal and pelvic globular fat-containing lesions (likely granulomas). They appear heterogeneously high signal on T1, low on T2 with fat suppression on suppressed images. Left iliopsoas and greater trochanteric bursitis. Associated small uterine leiomyoma is seen.

Case Discussion

The patient gave a history of previous augmentation and filler injection procedures, though unfortunately she does not know the nature or name of the injected materials. Later on, the patient complains of deep pelvic pain for a long time.
