Left sided weakness for 2 days.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Multiple T2/FLAIR hyperintensities seen in right periventricular and bilateral juxtacortical white matter.Few of these shows diffusion restriction.

Few lacunar infarcts seen in bilateral subcortical white matter.

Case Discussion

Multiple hyperintensities in right periventricular and bilateral juxtacortical white matter suspicious for with multiple sclerosis. This follows the McDonald diagnostic criteria with >2 lesions in periventricular and juxtacortical white matter. Few of these show abnormal diffusion restriction, suggesting active lesions.
