Multiple T2/FLAIR hyperintense lesions in bilateral periventricular white matter (along callososeptal interface), posterior body of corpus callosum, left lateral aspect of medulla, left middle cerebellar peduncle and right cerebellar hemisphere.
Hyperintensity is seen in retrobulbar, intracanalicular and intracranial segments of left optic nerve.
Partially empty sella is seen with the pituitary gland flattened against the sellar floor.
Case Discussion
Overall findings are suggestive of demyelinating disease – likely multiple sclerosis with left optic neuritis.
