Patient Data
Multi-focal T2/FLAIR high signal intensity lesions at the bilateral cerebral subcortical white matter, corpus callosum, cerebellum, and brainstem.
Some of the lesions at the supratentorial level show peripheral enhancement and surrounding edema.
In sagittal imaging, the so-called 'Dawson's fingers' are evident in some of the lesions.
On SWI, no abnormal dropout signal is seen.
Multifocal, short segment intramedullary abnormal signal lesions of T2/STIR high signal along the entire length of the spinal cord. In post-contrast images, some of the lesions show relative enhancement.
Case Discussion
The over-all findings (of brain and spinal cord) are representing active phase of demyelinating disorder (Multiple sclerosis) as detailed.
