Case Discussion

The diagnosis is probable multiseptated gallbladder associated with gallstones.

Multiseptated gallbladder is a very rare congenital abnormality. Although the first case was described in 1952 by Knetsch, who reported the radiologic findings, the clinical, radiologic, and pathologic correlation of multiseptate gallbladder was incomplete until 1963, when Simon and Tandon thoroughly described such a case.

Acquired etiology is described (pseudomultiseptated) secondary to chronic inflammatory processes, chronic cholecystitis, gallstones, intravesicular hydatid cyst, sludge bile and organized bruise.
