Workplace crush injury.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Chest

  • right 1st-9th rib fractures with a flail segment between the 2-8th ribs. Small right hemopneumothorax
  • multiple right pulmonary contusions
  • non-displaced left 1st chondral cartilage fracture
  • non-displaced sternal body fracture

Abdomen

  • grade 5 liver laceration extending around the right hepatic vein. No active contrast extravasation
  • large volume hemoperitoneum
