Mumford procedure

Patient with history of renal cell cancer getting follow up chest x rays for surveillance.

Patient Data

Age: 52
Gender: Male

Heart/Mediastinum: The cardiopericardial silhouette is normal in size. There is no mediastinal widening.
Lungs:  There are no focal areas of consolidation within the chest.
Pleura: There are no pleural effusions.. There is no pneumothorax..          
Bones:  Osseous structures are showing prior Mumford procedure for right rotator cuff repair with osteotomy of the distal right clavicle.
Anterior cervical fusion surgery at 3 vertebral body levels are seen.
Soft tissues:  The soft tissues are unremarkable.
Upper abdomen: Cholecystectomy clips.

Case Discussion

Important to see the surgical osteotomy changes and not call it a bony metastasis.

Chart review and lateral view helped with showing surgical clips in upper arm.
