Localized abdominal pain, after a contact injury during a basketball game. The patient could pinpoint the exact location of the pain on the abdominal wall.

Focal defect on the anterior surface fascia of the rectus muscle, with a small muscle tissue herniation.
Case Discussion
This is a highly challenging and difficult diagnosis to make, but in most cases, patients can accurately localize the area of pain. Muscle hernias can be seen on both ultrasound and CT scans.
