Presentation

Known sickle cell disease patient presented with heel swelling and pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Soft tissue swelling at the heel. No osseous abnormality.

mri

Abductor digiti minimi is swollen with increase T2/STIR signal intensity. Surrounding soft tissue edema is seen as well. Post contrast administration reveals a peripheral enhancement pattern.
