Mycosis fungoides

Case contributed by Jayanth Keshavamurthy
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

A surveillance PET-CT ordered on a patient with known mycosis fungoides.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
Nuclear medicine

PET-CT confirming multiple skin lesions which are metabolically active consistent with recurrence of mycosis fungoides.

Case Discussion

The patient was referred back to oncology for further management.

It is helpful to do a whole-body PET like a melanoma protocol as it is a skin neoplasm. As in this patient, in the USA, this condition more frequently affects male African Americans.
