Presentation

Recent paresthesia, and lumbar swelling since birth.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

The spinal cord is low-lying and tethered.

Expanded dural sac, with neural elements protruding into the sac through a bony defect in the posterior arch elements of L4 and L5.

No other anomalies are seen.

Case Discussion

MRI features are suggestive of myelomeningocele with tethered cord.
