Presentation

Left upper inner thigh swelling

Patient Data

Age: 25 year old
Gender: Male
ct

Left upper inner thigh subcutaneous well defined iso/hypodense solid soft tissue lesion of mean attenuation (26HU), it causes focal contour bulge.

Case Discussion

Biospy proven : Myxoid liposarcoma, Grade I-II.

Microscopic :

Sections examined from the specimen received pieces of tumor tissue formed of oval neoplastic mildly pleomorphic cells arranged in a myxoid background showing a plexiform chicken like vascularity. Mitotic index is 3/10 HPF in most active areas. No necrosis. No vascular tumor emboli seen in sections examined. No round cell elements seen in sections examined.
