Malpositioned nasogastric tube with it passing down the right main bronchus and into the medial basal segment of the right lower lobe.
Case Discussion
Malpositioned nasogastric tube passing down the right main bronchus and into the medial basal segment of the right lower lobe. This tube could be mistaken by the inexperienced reader to be within the distal esophagus, however if you trace the tube proximally from its tip you find that it remains within the line of the right bronchial tree and the trachea throughout its course.
