There is a 0.7 cm low T1 high T2 cystic lesion within the anterior maxilla without enhancement on the postcontrast images consistent with nasopalatine duct cyst.
Case Discussion
The nasopalatine duct cyst is the most frequent nonodontogenic cyst of the maxilla. The cyst originates from epithelial remnants from the nasopalatine duct. They occur in approximately 1% of the population. They may be asymptomatic or present with swelling, pain, and drainage. Treatment options include enucleation or marsupialization.
