Navicular fracture

Fall on ground, Foot trauma - 12 days back. Localized pain mid foot region, medial aspect.

Radiograph within 1 - 2 days of injury - Suspicious undisplaced cortical breach. Referred to check tibialis posterior tendon / undisplaced fracture.

Modality: Ultrasound

There is cortical breach involving the navicular cortex with overlying soft tissue thickening.

The tibialis posterior tendon is normal.

Case Discussion

Patient with post traumatic mid foot pain shows a navicular fracture.
