Widespread, bilateral airspace opacities in a young intubated patient.


Diffuse ground glass and confluent airspace densities on CT, with subpleural sparing.

Case Discussion

This patient is post an acute near drowning incident. The case provides the typical appearance of, and allows for a differential discussion of causes of non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
