Know and operated case of urinary bladder cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Nephrostogram in a patient with cystoprostatectomy and ureteroileostomy due to locally advanced urinary bladder cancer. Delayed images show contrast passage into ileal loops and secondary enhancement of the contralateral urinary collecting system.

Case Discussion

Nephrostogram (antegrade pyelogram) fluoroscopically evaluates the upper collecting system by introducing water-soluble contrast through the nephrostomy catheter and can be helpful to determine tube position, and assess residual stones in the upper collecting system or the level of the urinary tract stenosis.
